Excel VBA Macro Workbook – July 2008

Created a Microsoft Excel Visual Basic for Applications macro workbook to automatically feed a CSV source file to a spreadsheet for Terasen Gas.

Installation of Ubuntu 8.04LTS – June 2008

Installed and configured Ubuntu 8.04LTS on a Fujitsu Lifebook N-series notebook computer, dual-boot with Windows XP Professional, and on an AMD Athlon 1.4Ghz desktop computer with Windows 2000 Professional.

Web Application – October 2007–ongoing

Created a web application in Ruby on Rails for a new business. This project involves multiple phases to be built throughout 2008-2009.

Project Manager Web Application – June 2007–January 2007

Created a small business project management software in Ruby on Rails that includes a contact manager, an expense and time sheet module, a project info module and an invoicing module for DMD & Associates.

StemarConsulting.com Design and Content Update – April 2007

Updated the web design and content for stemarconsulting.com. The site is coded with XHTML, CSS and PHP.

Excel Charts Macro – March–April 2007

Updated a financial spreadsheet with bar charts and created an Excel VBA macro to automate the creation of charts for Bell Canada's Capital Management division.

StemarMedia.com Design – March 2007

Created a new web design for stemarmedia.com, a W3C-compliant website for the web design division of Stemar Consulting. The site is coded with XHTML, CSS and PHP.

Excel VBA Macro Update – March 2007

Updated a financial spreadsheet macro to process new source data for Rogers Video head office.

Excel VBA Macro Workbook – Dec. 2006–Jan. 2007, Feb. 2007

Created an advanced Microsoft Excel Visual Basic for Applications macro workbook to automatically generate resource planning reports for the operations centre of Terasen Gas. Reports that would take a person 2 days to produce now take 10 minutes to generate.

Kubuntu Linux Install – February 2007

Installed and configured Kubuntu Linux on one desktop computer and one notebook computer.

New website and IMAP email system launch – October 2006

Coordinated domain and IMAP email system switch to DreamHost for DMD & Associates.

Wordpress Integration – September 2006

Created Wordpress theme to match website layout of the new DMD & Associates website that will be launched in October 2006.

PHP Site Map and Contact Form – August 2006

Customized two open source PHP scripts to create a dynamic site map and a self-validating contact form for DMD & Associates Ltd's website.

Word Template and Documents – July 2006

Created two Word templates integrating custom styles and numbering for DMD & Associates Ltd, and formatted 7 Word documents with the templates.

PHP Uploader Application – June 2006

Customized PHP code of uploader application and integrated to FTP Web Client application for DMD & Associates Ltd. Users can now also upload project-specific files to the company's public FTP folders.

Wordpress Blog Creation – June 2006

Created Stemar Media Blog and ExcelCalc.com from Wordpress templates hosted on DreamHost.

PHP Website Conversion – June 2006

Converted SwankWebDesign.com website from XHTML web pages to a combination of XHTML and PHP for easier maintenance and more dynamic features.

Word Template and Documents – June 2006

Created a Word template integrating background images and custom styles for DMD & Associates Ltd, and formatted 16 Word documents with the template.

PHP FTP Web Client Customization – June 2006

Customized PHP code of FTP Web Client application for DMD & Associates Ltd. Users can log into password protected interface to download project-specific files from the company's public FTP folders.

PHP Website Conversion – June 2006

Converted StemarConsulting.com website from XHTML web pages to a combination of XHTML and PHP for easier maintenance and more dynamic features. Integrated a PHP FTP Web Client interface for clients to be able to download files in a secure interface.

FileMaker Application – May–June 2006

Repaired layouts and created scripts in a FileMaker 6 application for DMD & Associates Ltd.

Created an advanced Microsoft Excel Visual Basic for Applications macro to consolidate data from multiple monthly report for Sage Software . This macro runs in 1 minute to automate a process that manually takes 2 hours.

Created an Expense Report and Mileage Log spreadsheet for Abbey Window Coverings' salesforce.

Created a small contact database in Excel to produce reports and print label with MS Word automatically.

In anticipation of spin-off of web design business from Stemar Consulting, created stemarconsulting.com and swankwebdesign.com in XHTML and CSS.

Installed and configured Fedora Red Hat Linux operating system in dual-boot configuration on AMD Athlon 1.4Ghz machine with Windows 2000.

Created 90 financial analysis spreadsheet macros linked to different data sources, all built with Visual Basic for Application macro language for task automation. The client is Rogers Video, a major multimedia provider across Canada.

Coordinated website improvement project for Genome British Columbia. Integrated Macromedia Dreamweaver and Contribute to their existing website for in-house users.

Software Support – March–December 2004

Provided software support for 20+ users for Genome BC. Installed and configured many applications on 20+ computers.

Phase II of the Jak Redenbach Architect website is completed. The home page is more detailed and some additional pages were created. Phase I was completed in May 2003. It was created to establish Jak Redenbach's presence on the Internet.

Excel Spreadsheet – August 2003

Completed two Excel spreadsheets for the resident manager of a property with 50+ townhouses. It was created for tracking and reporting monthly and yearly information on units, tenants, finances, maintenance and repairs.

Excel Spreadsheet – July 2003

Completed a major Excel spreadsheet for a BCAA. It was created for tracking and calculating employees' scheduled shifts and gathering data for reporting statistics for every office in the province of British Columbia.

Hardware – April–July 2003

Performed troubleshooting on various computer issues in an office which has 15 computers and one server.

Web Design – May 2003

Phase I of the Jak Redenbach Architect website is completed. The website is functional and the pages contain a lot of images and thumbnails. Domain name and web hosting was researched and set up. http://www.redenbach.ca

Installed and configured Red Hat Linux 8.0 operating system on dual-boot Intel Pentium II 450Mhz machine with Windows 98.

Word Document Formatting – February 2003

Formatted a series of annual research reports in Word. Created I.T. manual documenting licenses and procedures on various software installed on all computers.

CompTIA A+ certification – February 2003

Obtained CompTIA A+ certification with self-study method using books and specialized websites. Passed A+ Core Hardware and A+ Operating Systems Technology exams within 16 days of each other.

Installed extra memory chips and installed Windows 98 operating system on Compaq Presario Notebook Intel Pentium I 233Mhz.

Networks – November 2002

Connected and configured ADSL modem on Celeron 500Mhz machine with Windows XP.

Linux Operating System – November 2002

Performed the following on two different projects: Installed and configured Mandrake 9.0 operating system on dual-boot AMD Athlon 1.4Ghz machine with Windows 98. Installed and configured Suse 8.1 operating system on dual-boot Intel Pentium II 450Mhz machine with Windows 98.
